Mexico Wants U.S. Border Patrol to Stop Defending Themselves from Attacks

This was sent over the internet via the Reuters news service:
MEXICO CITY (Reuters) - Mexico is demanding that U.S. Border Patrol agents stop using tear gas to protect themselves against increased attacks as they try to keep illegal immigrants from entering the United States.
Mexico’s Foreign Ministry also requested a U.S. probe into an incident last month where 15-year-old Cristian Saldana was struck in the nose by a tear gas canister after he threw stones at U.S. agents trying to stop people from crossing illegally from the Mexican border city of Tijuana near San Diego.
Saying the use of tear gas was unacceptable under any circumstances, the ministry sent a letter to the U.S. Embassy requesting the investigation and said it was also setting up talks with U.S. officials through its consular network.
Mexico’s human rights commission says Border Patrol agents have fired tear gas into Mexico at least six times since November.
“Launching tear gas does not contribute in any way to a climate of understanding and collaboration,” the Foreign Ministry said in a statement issued late on Thursday.
The Border Patrol in Washington was not immediately available for comment but officials have told Reuters their border measures are aimed at upholding U.S. law.
Border-wide assaults on agents reached a record 250 between October 1 and December 16 last year, according to the latest U.S. figures.
U.S.-Mexico relations are strained over border issues as the United States increases its deportations of illegal immigrants and builds a fence along hundreds of miles (km) of the frontier with Mexico to keep out migrants without papers.
Mexican President Felipe Calderon says U.S. treatment of undocumented Mexican workers is “abusive” and amounts to persecution.

OK, aside from the understood incompetency and liberal bias of the media, This is still horse crap. Let’s break this down logically.
1. “15-year-old Cristian Saldana was struck in the nose by a tear gas canister after he threw stones at U.S. agents trying to stop people from crossing illegally…” Really? Amazing? If you assault law enforcement officers while breaking the law you will get hurt. This is news? This is different than any American citizen would experience if they throw rocks at their local cop during a traffic stop?
2. “Mexico’s human rights commission says Border Patrol agents have fired tear gas into Mexico at least six times since November.” It’s only fair, really, as Mexico sent thousands of people into the U.S. over the last year. What is 6 cans of tear gas to the multitudes of their people we take care of annually?
3. “”Launching tear gas does not contribute in any way to a climate of understanding and collaboration,” the Foreign Ministry said in a statement issued late on Thursday.” Exactly correct. It contributes to keeping illegal workers and terrorists out of our country. If we wanted understanding and collaboration, we would host a sit in with Hollywood stars to protest something irrelevant. On the border, the message is simple but clear: stay the hell out.
4. “U.S.-Mexico relations are strained over border issues as the United States increases its deportations of illegal immigrants and builds a fence along hundreds of miles (km) of the frontier with Mexico to keep out migrants without papers.” I cannot believe this is actually being published. Mexico is pissed because we kick its citizens out of our country and send them home. I cannot understand this. Please help me.
This is not news, folks. Mexican nationals are breaking the law by entering this country without proper documentation and procedures. We treat them no differently than we treat undocumented Canadians or Cubans, or Russians. There’s just more of them, so now we are “persecuting” them. BS.
Before anyone writes this garbage, perhaps they should ask themselves this question: If what we do to Mexicans is deemed persecution, then what is the Mexican government doing for its citizens that makes them leave their homeland in such numbers?
Seal the border OR allow open immigration - just give them all social security numbers and make them pay taxes. And shut off the welfare tap while you’re at it.

I think the border should be another tour of duty for active duty military.. After all, it is a national security issue!
From everything I’ve seen; they just want us to be “targets” instead…
But, then again,,, what do I know… I’m just a Bitter Clinger…
