I was performing my usual surf of relevant political sites tonight and I thought I should check out MoveOn.org to see what they had to offer. After looking at their front page loaded with liberal garbage and inflamatory drivel, I found a link on their homepage that is titled “success stories.” I clicked it and found myself looking at a list of liberal “victories” in legislation that basically involve hollow new laws, grossly expensive (and useless) social service programs, and other fodder. One little gem actually jumped out at me from this list.

Wal-Mart Movie Kicks Off With a Bang
MoveOn members held viewing parties as part of a coalition effort to bring attention to Robert Greenwald’s compelling new documentary: Walmart, The High Cost of Low Price. |
They have the above link on their list of political successes, so I had to check it out. Upon following the link, I found myself looking at a campaign to promote the anti-Wal-Mart movie “Wal-Mart: The High Cost of Low Prices.” They are taking credit for getting the word out about the evils of Sam Walton’s misguided empire.
The liberals who routinely read my blog - and there’s plenty of them based on the number of psycho comments I receive - will claim that the MoveOn.org sponsorship of this movie is designed to help the working man, bring unionization to Wal-Mart, or whatever tripe they want to claim Conservatives have failed to do as their liberal agenda vis a vis Wal-Mart. The truth, however, is that MoveOn.org has used its misguided media power to draw attention to the evils of Wal-Mart - and that action, in and of itself, is VERY conservative. How so?
Wal-Mart, if it were its own country, would be China’s 5th largest trading partner (a fact I learned while watching the Wal-Mart movie). That is a HUGE influx of hard currency into the PRC and a HUGE depletion of American jobs and GNP. Furthermore, each “associate” at Wal-Mart earns around $13,000 per year. Not a lot of money by any standard. Americans are forced to close their small businesses when Wal-Mart comes to town and then go to work for the giant retailer for a fraction of what they used to make. Thus, by drawing attention to these and other examples of Wal-Mart’s evils, MoveOn.org has inadvertently made the massive mistake of being PRO-AMERICA. That is the most conservative of actions possible.
When you look at MoveOn.org’s character assassination of General Petraeus, the blindly signed petitions to end the war, the stick-our-head-in-the-sand approach to fighting the war on terror, etc., the support of a pro-American film just blows me away.
Typically, I would associate anyone who is a firm believer in the policies promoted on MoveOn.org to be a traitor to this country. I guess I have to eat a little bit of crow and give MoveOn.org a smidgen of kudos for so blindly supporting Americans (even if it was done by accident). Kudos!
***Now I will also add that the existence of this article on MoveOn.org simply proves, beyond a shadow of a doubt, another one of my conservative axioms: If it weren’t for double standards, liberals wouldn’t have any standards at all.

I was browsing Fox News today and came across the video of an Ohio convenience store clerk being beaten by an assailant wielding a brick. The criminal beat this man for 7 minutes while people stood by and watched. You can see the video at Fox News’ website. Make sure your speakers are on so you can hear the audio - it’s worth it.
First, this is a perfect example of why gun control will never work. If a firearm is not available, something else will be used to inflict serious bodily damage. This video is such obvious evidence of my previous statement that it begs the question: should bricks be banned or regulated? If bricks are now being used in felonious assaults, they should be controlled as much as firearms. Perhaps a brick owner identification card program? Maybe a 5 day waiting period and a criminal background check for all potential brick buyers could have prevented this attack. Did this mindless criminal purchase more than one brick before the attack? Hopefully our liberal lawmakers in Washington will use this shameful crime as a rallying cry to develop some legislation relating to brick ownership and keep such beatings from happening to someone else. Can we count on Sen. Clinton to chair the committee?
Secondly, I have purposefully left out another detail of this crime: the assailant is a teenage black male. Will he be tried and convicted for aggravated assault, or will the Rev. Jessie Jackson and Al Sharpton come to his defense as they did the six criminals in Louisiana? They can claim that the criminal in question is simply lashing back at the oppressive convenience store clerk who shouted (non-existent) racial slurs at him. Or he suffers from a mental problem brought on from the constant inequalities he experiences in his life of submission to the white man. Where do we draw the line as to a racially motivated crime (and some are real - it’s common knowledge) and an attack such as this? There is no obvious racial motivation in this assault - but I guarantee you that some media jerk will put a racial spin on it somehow. It makes me sick to think of it.
The third aspect of this crime that should make any American want to cry is how people stood there and watched this criminal beat the hell out of the victim. The victim states on the video that he heard someone in the crowd say “it’s my duty”….”to intervene” but did not offer any kind of help. What is our country coming to? This is the same kind of apathetic, un-American, cowardly behavior that helped the hijackers take down four airplanes during the 9/11 attack.
“It’s not my concern” may be a rallying cry for people who lack the moral fiber to stand up to criminals, social degenerates, terrorists, liberals, and others who wish to harm our country. A real American accepts the responsibility to safeguard every facet of American society - with their life if necessary. Imagine what this world would be like if in 1942 our young men had refused to fight claiming “it’s not my concern.” It’s every American’s concern, and to excuse such behavior by any excuse that is contrary to that axiom should be an act of treason.
This American would have drawn his properly registered, legally concealed Sig P220 and shot this criminal as many times as was necessary to stop his attack. If the gun was not available, I would take that scumbag out with some other weapon. I hope you all feel the same.

This is an oldie, but a goodie and bears repeating on here!
WHY SOME MEN FAVOR HANDGUNS OVER WOMEN
#10 - YOU CAN TRADE AN OLD 44 FOR A NEW 22.
#9 - YOU CAN KEEP ONE HANDGUN AT HOME, AND HAVE
ANOTHER FOR WHEN YOU’RE ON THE ROAD.
#8 - IF YOU ADMIRE A FRIEND’S HANDGUN, AND
TELL HIM SO, HE WILL PROBABLY LET YOU TRY IT OUT A FEW
TIMES.
#7 - YOUR PRIMARY HANDGUN DOESN’T MIND IF
YOU KEEP ANOTHER HANDGUN FOR A BACK UP.
#6 - YOUR HANDGUN WILL STAY WITH YOU EVEN IF
YOU RUN OUT OF AMMO.
#5 - A HANDGUN DOESN’T TAKE UP A LOT OF
CLOSET SPACE.
#4 - HANDGUNS FUNCTION NORMALLY EVERY DAY OF
THE MONTH.
#3 - A HANDGUN DOESN’T ASK, “DO THESE NEW
GRIPS MAKE ME LOOK FAT?”
#2 - A HANDGUN DOESN’T MIND IF YOU GO TO
SLEEP AFTER YOU USE IT.
and, the number one reason a handgun is favored over a woman
#1 - YOU CAN BUY A SILENCER FOR A HANDGUN!

I wanted to give everyone an update on the ammodata.com website we’re putting together. It’s going to be a while in the making. We tried to use a ready made template driven website from GoDaddy.com, but it isn’t up to snuff. We will be programming a database driven website over the next few months. It’s going to take longer, but will ultimately be more user friendly and easier on us to administer.
We do apologize for the delay, but between getting the shop open, starting out newsletter, and getting the ammodata.com website up and running, we’re very busy. We’ll keep posting our progress to this blog.
Thanks, and check back soon!
Paul and Bill
